Spring starts late here in Karuizawa. You might see cherry blossoms and snow at the same time. There is such floral variety here blooming in May, June and July. Please enjoy walking around, looking at the beautiful flowers, and eat nice food on our terrace viewing the new green leaves!

Autumn comes early here because of the elevation. You will be surrounded by a sea of autumn colours, usually from the end of September.

This is the perfect destination to escape the heat and humidity of summer as it is located at the foot of Mount Asama at an altitude of 1100 meters above sea level. The surrounding area also includes camp grounds, hiking trails, golf courses and tennis courts and is perfect for those who love the great outdoors.

Have a blast in the snow! You can enjoy activities ranging from skiing and snowboarding to shopping and hot springs. Sit around
fireplace, gazing out of the
window at the snow! This area is surrounded by a number of ski resorts which are easy to access. If you like the slopes the snow is powdery every day and night!
Other Activities...
Wow, wow, wow! So many stars! The night sky twinkles with the innumerable stars of the Milky Way. It is like to being in a huge domed Planetarium, but more beautiful. If you walk for 20 minutes or drive for 5 minutes you can see a sky full of stars over the extensive cabbage fields and the silhouette of Asama Mountain.

There is a challenging outdoor activity which consists of high and/or low elements in the forest. An amazing place to explore!
Kitakaruizawa Tsumagoi Golf Course is just 15 minutes by walk. You can see a beautiful Asama Mountatin from all courses. Even in summer it is cool as you will play at an altitude of 1000 meters above sea level.

Situated just off the south exit of Karuizawa Station, the facility offers luxury brands, fashion goods, accessories, sports items, outdoor gear, and more, with close to 240 shops. There are some restaurants and this shopping mall itself is beautiful architecture for enjoying to be.
